Classroom Befores

It's almost back to school time which means it is a super crazy time at our house! I've started putting my classroom together and I'm doing some super cute things that I am SO excited about. I thought it would be fun share what my classroom space looks like so y'all will know what I'm talking about. Keep in mind these are all befores...no afters yet.
This is the before, before. I work in a newer school (only 5 years old) so I have a nice space to work in.

Here are the befores after I pushed some furniture around...

My MIL made these beautiful curtains to cover up some open shelf storage. I knew I'd never be able to keep the shelves looking pretty so I needed to cover them up. They look kind of bubbly & weird because of all the stuff I had to store under them during the summer.

Some inspiration...

I saw this super cute branch with hanging birds over at dear lillie and thought it was the perfect idea for my classroom. Instead of hanging just birds I'm also going to add some owls. I'm planning on hanging this in front of my classroom window.

I can't wait to finish this project! I'll make sure I take pictures to share! Just for fun here is the progress in my classroom right now. Hope your enjoyed your peak into my home away from home!



Pinterest Party!

Have your heard about those Pinterest Challenges? You know, the ones where you actually complete one of the millions of projects that you loved and wanted to do so much that you pinned it on one of your boards!?! I'm so doing this only instead of calling it a challenge, I'm calling it a party! I like parties way more than I like challenges. Challenges are hard. Anyways, a girlfriend and I are going to get together once a month for our little Pinterest Party to work on our pinned projects. LOVE it!
Here are some of the things on my list....

I made one of these for my classroom. I still need to put duct tape on the back to keep the wire from scratching & hang it in my classroom. Love it!

We are almost done with our patio/fire pit. I can't wait to share the finished product!

Awesome Children's Book: Cha Cha Chimps

This book is beyond adorable! Very fun counting pattern book. It made us get up & boogie in the middle of the library!

New Shoes!

Over the weekend the Mr. took me out to dinner & shopping at Nordstrom for some new things for the upcoming school year here is what I got...

 I love wedges! I have some higher wedges that go all the way up to the knee boots that I seriously wear to work all the time so I was super excited to find some lower wedges to wear. *Steve Madden 'Intyce' boots

While I was trying on boots I mentioned that I needed to find some flats to wear to work so the ever so helpful sales girl got these for me....

These flats are SUPER comfy. I can totally see being on my feet all day in these bad boys & I'm a tough sell since I spent about 99% of my day on my feet. *Report 'Garth' flats.
